This call is from a more peaceful and happier time of my life. One of the benefits growing up as a poor kid in the deep rural south.

The sound of childhood! I've not heard this in many years. It reminds me of sweet days in the country on the farm with my grandparents

I have always liked to hear these beautiful birds calling out. The sound is very peaceful and calming.

My property in TN has recently (within the last two years) acquired a pair of these, and I am very happy about it. I hope they have lots of babies and live long, healthy lives in our rampant undergrowth. 😁

The sound of my youth about 50 years ago.  Thank you.

Man, I remember hearing them in the early morning but never knew it was a quail.

I remember this call from my childhood in Virginia. Sometimes it is “Bob White” and sometimes “Robert White.”

Reminds me of being at Grandma's house. Haven't heard one since childhood 30+ years ago.

I used to hear this sound as a child. I moved back to the same city in North Carolina but don't ever hear it.  I so miss that sound.

I live next a quarter mile from a conservation club that regularly releases quail for bird dog hunts, (questionable ethics imho) and usually a few of them manage to survive that gauntlet and make it to my 80 acres. There a great bird, once you learn to imitate there call you can have long conversations with them.

I'm a 73-year old woman. This memory of Bob White Quail calls makes me feel SO good (and young)! Thank You!

These guys are all over my area in Tennessee. You can hear them from quite a distance, but once in a while you'll see them pecking around on the ground in the brush.

Thank you so much for this! Me and my mom were “talking” to a bird with this tune and now we know what it is! Thanks so much!

My backyard is butted against a large corn field and I hear one every day for the last couple of years in a tree line a distance away. Nice and peaceful.

I also hear a bullfrog in the background. Ah, the sounds of my childhood.

They say you can never go home again. Yet, I hear this...and I am home. <3

I hear this bird every day and it's LOUD!  LOL  Love it's call and I sometimes call back to it but not quite as well as it does it.
