Narcissistic Collapse will occur throughout a narcissist’s lifetime on various occasions when their narcissism fails to achieve its agendas on multiple fronts and supply levels are very low. Narcissists can suffer mini collapses and major and final collapses in the majority as a result of their past and present behaviours coming back to haunt them. Too often narcissists act in the moment without looking at the long term consequences of poor decisions. It is important to be aware of how genuine the narcissist will appear during these collapses to prevent yourself being drawn back in to partake in their behaviour cycle once again, negatively impacting your own life. If I try to take care of myself by walking around a mall or take myself out to dinner, it makes the narcissist furious, who will then retaliate by cheating on me or even worse. They want you to be the always giving mother to them and have no life for yourself. They want a 100% sacrifice from you to them or they get upset! They will allow you to work so you can support them or give them money. It's a miserable existence.

I am deeply in this right now... I am in the stand back mode right now. Still bath and care for him, cook and clean as usual but I pray that God intervenes swiftly. Thank you so much for this because I might have fallen for his childish behaviour that has already popped up after gentle correction. He has been violent when caught out so I changed the way of interaction with lots of observation and prayer. Being empathetic and no appreciation broke me into a state of confusion, sorrow and low self estime. After searching tonfi d a better comprehension also on a spiritual level, I finally have found my ground to stand on.
