The Kindle edition of Tom's new book is only $4.00 at Amazon and only takes a minute to get.  Worth reading.

"I myself would have given my right arm to study under this guy... now of course you guys have the chance to do that." That sounds great, except I'll keep my right arm.

Good title. Most people know what they don't want. Once a thing is eradicated, sinister forces come in with their solution and get it passed. People need not to know what they don't want, but to know what they do want and with the same passion as the slogan "END THE FED"

How does one purchase the private money? How would it get into circulation? How would the transition work?

It's crazy that supposedly free market economists will ponder questions like "what should the quantity of money be?" Without ever thinking about PRICES. Once you understand Menger and especially Mises' methodological insights questions like quantity and quality of supply, quantity and quality of SUPPLIER, purchasing power etc are at least put on the right footing. Critics who hypothesise about private minters debasing and counterfeiting sound ridiculous when you ask yourself if the market would ever produce something as bad as federal reserve notes. Iron and salt are definitely better monies.

I very much like the subject matter but I felt the responses to your questions by your guest were a bit too esoteric in delivery, Tom. I believe I got most of the gist of these responses, but felt there should have been more of a concerted effort to explain these all important concepts in layman's terms. Use of analogy, more comparison to the current monetary system, etc. could have gone a long way in illustrating concepts more clearly, in my opinion. but, again, i very much appreciate the show and subject matter.
