What power supply are you using and do you by chance have a link for it? Thanks for the video.

Can you tell me what is the power supply that you are using? It appears that it is not a battery charger and is some sort of ac power.

Nice set up ! When it’s time for a new tank solution how do you dispose of the used solution? Do you have to treat it in someway for it to be safe to dispose of ?

I like to watch a good cast iron cleaner work. I'm never beyond picking up a new trick.
This is what I do, I use a 55 gallon food grade barrel cut to 24" tall holding 35 gallons. This requires 27 ounces or half a box of Arm & Hammer at 1 1/2 tablespoons per gallon. I mix it with a long paint mixer on a drill. My anodes are stainless steel sheet metal held in place by wing nuts for easy removal for cleaning. My power source is a Shoemaker 1565 200A rolling charger. It delivers amperage depending on the size of the load, usually between 24 - 38 amps. I use an electric pressure washer on the nastier pieces before they go in the tank. I clean the anodes with the pressure washer as well. As you said the cleanliness of the tank effects the time required and how it cleans so for that reason I hang the piece inside a pillowcase to act as a coffee filter to contain the larger crud. Just like coffee the water will stain. I scrub mine midway also. I leave it on for days at a time if needed. I clean for two estate sale companies, myself and occasional friends so it can get busy at times. On the final scrub I dry the pieces off with a leaf blower before oiling. It seems to prevent flash rust. I bought an oven just for seasoning so my wife could be happy with me out of the kitchen. (money well spent)
As far as explosive goes you would have to build a dome over the tank with a pinhole on top, you might be able to produce a flame out of that 1/32" hole? I've had connections to spark over the tank with no problems. It's been setup on a two car enclosed garage for two years. It's cool in SE Tennessee this time of year so it isn't ventilated in the winters. I'm not a Safety Susie but it doesn't seem to matter. Hope this wasn't too boring but that is what I do.

Would putting a plastic igloo cooler replacement drain plug at the bottom of the tank affect it efficiency? I know certain metals do, that's why I'm asking about the plastic ones.

I have worked on a chrome plating line for 40 years with that setup you will never have a problem with hydrogen or oxygen build up.

Outstanding video start to finish. Have a question. There is some carbon buildup on a pan I restored years ago. No rust. Great shape. Just some carbon I’d like to remove. Will a self cleaning oven remove the carbon? I plan on building an E Tank, but needed a method short term. Thank you.

Ha, another question. Can you do this on a iron skillet that has the outside and outside bottom painted with the enamel paint or whatever they use?

I use a 50/50 vinegar bath to clean the pan when it comes out of the lye bath to neutralize any lye.

thank you this is great information! What do you think about using a wire brush disk on a power drill to remove the rust?

Great teaching. Question if it is sticky after seasoning what do yo uh do then.

I doubt putting a modern Lodge through a oven cleaning cycle will damage it, but I wouldn't do that on a "vintage" skillet. Many of the older skillets are lighter weight, and I have seen a lot of warped older skillets as they saw too much heat or were heated to fast sometime in the past.

Just found your channel! Excellent information. Do you have a link to your dc power supply of one similar?
