1984, I was 15 and listen to mostly rock & metal songs and some good pop songs at that time. Somehow, this song was missed in my radar, only discovered it now.
Anyway, I am so proud that 80s songs are so great and timeless compared to todays songs.

This was my dad's favourite song. He passed away nearly 25 years ago. He told my mom that he wanted this song to be played as his last goodbye... and so it was.

I used to get sad when I heard it, but now I hear it in a different way and it fills me with the desire to enjoy while I'm alive.

I remember clearly this song played on the radio in Norway during autumn 1984. I immediately fell in love with the song and lyrics. I remember saying to my mother when I was 6 years old that I did not want to grow up. I wanted to stay Forever Young! My mom probably will not remember this, but I certainly do. That is probably why this song means so much to me. I was 6 years old and it was the summer of 1978. Now I am 52 and Forever Young is still one of my favourite songs of all time. Thank you Alphaville❤
