Birch Pillow Review

National Forest Foundation-
While the right mattress can make even the worst days better, restful sleep can be hard to achieve when you don’t have the right pillow. At first glance, it wouldn’t seem like there’s a whole lot to consider when it comes to pillow shopping, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. That’s why we’re here to walk you through the process.
I recently had the chance to try out the Birch line of products by parent company Helix, and this includes their take on an eco-friendly pillow. If you like a bouncy feel and change sleep positions frequently through the night, this could be an excellent fit.
What Makes It So Versatile?
What allows the Birch pillow to accommodate all sleep positions? This is due to the fact that it features an adjustable loft. The filling is shredded, and this allows you to fluff the pillow up to accommodate positions like side sleeping. Alternately, you can spread out the filling to lower the loft and make for comfortable stomach and back sleeping.
Just because it works for all sleep positions doesn’t mean it will work for you, however. If you are a big fan of the feeling of memory foam, you may not like the feel the latex provides. While it still offers contour, it’s not the sinky contour visco foam provides. The Birch pillow can be an excellent solution for:
Combination sleepers
Eco-friendly shoppers
Sleepers who change positions frequently through the night
Those who don’t like the feel of memory foam
People looking to keep their carbon footprints low
Shoppers ready to invest in a pillow that will last
Excellent Heat Transfer Results
I’ve had a few weeks to try out my Birch pillow, and I took some time to check out how well it does at transferring heat away from the body. This is critical since you cannot enter the deepest REM sleep unless your body temperature is able to cool off just slightly. I had high hopes going into testing considering the many features Birch incorporates into the construction of this pillow to aid in heat transfer. These include:
Cotton strands in the cover wick moisture and allow heat to dissipate through their pores.
Birch Wool provides a natural, temperature regulating insulator through its muli-layer cellular structure while providing certified fire retardancy without the use of harmful chemicals and plastics.
Talalay latex is up to seven times more breathable than other latex types.
The results of our heat transfer testing and other exclusive data
are revealed in this video. Just some of the critical aspects we cover include:
