Why this side mission have to be so damn mysterious. Lol I just want to complete the game but my OCD will not allow me to move on :/

Interresting thing: the later in game you finish this mission, the more credits and exp are rewarded.
I got the mission pretty early, practically the first sidequest on the Citadel, and finished it a as soon as I got it. Was rewarded 600 credits. Then I made a new character, because of bonus talents, and this time it was the last mission I could finish on my fist visit to the Citadel. Got 1800 cedits as reward.
Of course you have to be fast when inputting the code. I don't know if you can get even more late in the game, even of you probably don't need it by then.
