What a lovely production. Really enjoyed watching this. Like those who appear in this programme we too enjoyed numerous holidays at Butlins and occasionally Pontins camps. A wonderful time and reflection of a happy society with traditional values. Thanks to all those who took part and for relating their wonderful experiences.

My mum went out to work just to provide the holidays, give me and my brother our spending money and generally give us a better childhood. Some years it could only stretch to a caravan but if it was Butlins or Bracklesham Bay holiday camp which was called Gibsons holiday camp it was always the full two weeks. We always got the coach which was an experience in itself.

Excellent look back to holiday camps. I was born in the early 1950s but never went to a camp. We wen to farms and caravans, mum never cooked on holiday so if not fully catered we ate out.
