That quick photo of my favourite star Charlton Heston in a check shirt, is the photo I kept in front of my office desk at the age of 18/19. As the Americans say "what a guy!" Such a great actor and person. To think he ended up with such a cruel disease is heart-breaking. But he will not be forgotten. Those past movie stars made the film industry such a wonderful gift for all of us who used to love "going to the pictures" in our younger days. I love my past memories of seeing all the wonderful films these actors starred in. So many famous names. I thank them all for making our lives richer through watching their talent.

Heston was highly politically confused during the early 1960s, possibly to not be banned by Democrats in Hollywood, but tried to redeem himself during the 1980s.
