Was there at the Montreal show, Halo Effect were the best band I’ve ever seen in my life, literally been dreaming to see them perform live, they were just amazing, and both the other bands too, During Unearth’s set I was certain that I’m breaking a bone or two, it was amazing!

Mike Justian gave me a drum stick and also Niclas gave me his guitar pick so it was a memorable night for me, I was the first one to fistbump Mikael Stanne during the show, it still feels like yesterday, what an amazing night it was!

Saw The Halo Effect on their europe tour in support to Machine Head and Amon Amarth and it was the best gig of the night. They are a great band!

Great review as always and I appreciate the fact that you document most of the shows I go to as well - this way I can reminisce down the road. I was standing a few rows behind you and I totally know who you were talking about when you said ‘the guy next to me’. He was living his best life, lol.

I was at the Montréal show, and I had similar impressions of each band playing. High Command didn't get much crowd reaction, which is too bad because they sounded amazing. Unearth came on and the place lit up, and same thing, mosh & circle pits going. I don't know if I saw any band members crowd surf at our show (I am short and I was up front with a friend on the far left, away from the pit). Unearth sounded incredible live, and I agree they are criminally underrated, and have been for their entire career (perhaps though they'll get their deserved foot hold with this new album).
The Halo Effect were just amazing. It has been years, decades, since I saw a band live that made me feel this level of excitement seeing them. They are great showmen all around, constantly interacting and making eye contact/smiling at the fans, and you could sense they had a great pride in seeing people singing along & knowing all the lyrics to their songs. Niclas especially was such a gentleman with the crowd and making each of us feel so connected to the experience. It went by FAR too fast! Hard to believe they played their entire album + bonus tracks, and it was over in a flash! What an incredible experience, I am so glad we traveled to see them, it was worth it!

I havent seen Halo Effect but Grand Cadaver which has the same vocalist and he is really freaking good live.

The Horseshoe was the worst concert venue I have ever attended. The Halo Effect should have played venues as large as The Opera House or Phoenix.
