I'm an american EXPAT and I've been telling my friends that the UK needed to decouple from the Dollar since 2008, when my family members in the US were blaming it on the British, when in fact it was American Hedge fund fraud that crashed the system.

It is logical to have more than one reserve world currency.

It's hard to imagine if those petrodollars come back to the US. Inflation in the US will be completely out of control. Too much money chasing too few goods.

Why die for the dollar? Better convert as much in Yuan. Only those who wish investments in dollars will be totally lost.

More reserve currencies would also increase choice/big country competition and the need for the big countries to be "good" as they are no longer in monopoly. (usually though Military might).

It won't happen overnight, but even Jarome Powell said "There can be more than one reserve currency" a few months ago.

Life is a cycle and almost all things do not last forever. Therefore, it is inevitable that all man-made systems and centers of controls is no exception.

Gee wiz, I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that the US outsourced the majority of our manufacturing to outside if the US and under Biden the US mint is printing currency so fast that some of the bank notes we get at the bank still have wet ink on them. Generally a nations wealth is based on gold, but we have none, or its GNP but since so few products actually bearing a label _Made in the USA_ this does not help those GNP numbers very much. Of course Hollywood is still doling out movies and movie stars are always making subjections on how the country should be run, so is it any wonder the Dollar may not continue to reign supreme internationally.
