If you think its bad gas. Those certification stickers on every gas pump has a phone number on it. Call it and they will send someone out to test the gas stations gas. If it tests bad you can open a civil case and get paid..

After your state's gasoline, weights and measure certification department gets your timely notice, someone will come out to the station and test the offending fuel. You open a civil case for ($)damages incurred in repairs to place this in front of a Judge. Happened to us and we're successful getting a favorable decision of $400. The station was a regular known, budget-friendly site in a low rent community and we got our repair costs returned. Time is key to this, in notification then follow-up with the testing department employee and finally filing the civil case.

All states have regular statewide fuel quality testing except 3…Ohio, Nebraska and Alaska. These states are known to be “bad gas” dumping states because of it. Buy gas not only from a reputable name but also a busier station because then you know the fuel is turned over more and not just sitting in the tanks for long periods of time

My son got an oil change at Jiffy Lube. They over torqued the oil bolt. We could tell because oil was leaking on our drive way. He asked them to pay or repair. They told him to call corporate. Corporate told him it's responsibility of the local shop.

I then told my son to to take it to the Honda dealer who fixed it but charged him $400. I have all my maintence and repairs done at the dealership. I trust they will stand behind their work.

Make sure you never get gas when the refuelling truck is filling the underground tanks. This will swirl up all of the sediment at the bottom of the tanks and it will go straight into your vehicles gas tank.

I’ve read that the Federal government will allow a gallon of gas to continue between 5 and 17% water! If that is true, then in my experience the large oil companies keep the water content low, whereas convenience stores, Walmart and Costco gas seems to run poorly in my car and probably contains more water per gallon. Name brand gas always equals better fuel mileage in my MB which requires 92 octane as a minimum.

Bought some gas from a station I had bought it from for years with no issue. Then all the sudden my bike starts shutting off and I have to restart it 20 times down the road. It also had problems where it wouldn't want to start or would randomly die for a year after that. Eventually stopped being an issue but I was pissed and never used that station again.

Local fuel station had an underground tank rupture that let in a lot of water.
They found out when reports of more than a dozen cars about a mile down the highway were all along the side of the road not running.
My mom was one of them.

I got bad gas once years ago. Turned out there was water in their tanks. I know they've changed the tanks since then, but even now I can't bring myself to buy gas at that station

I delivered bulk fuel for years. Sometimes the mobile terminal would be out of gasoline so you would pick up their orders at an offbrand terminal. It’s all the same.

NO station is gonna pay for your repairs. You would have to first prove to the gas station that it was “bad” gas.

doesnt matter if its shell or a small gas station, its gotta be a station thats used alot otherwise youre buying stale gas. and that causes the jerking
