"Ruffy and the Riverside" is definitely the highlight for me. Looks like it would be a real blast!
"Screenbound" is quite a fresh idea but to label it a 5D Platformer put a smirk on my face xD

I do recommend The Big Catch: Tacklebox, as I just finally 100%'d it. It is a more challenging game with its platforming (a sprinkle of Getting Over It with the risk of needing to backtrack from a fall), but I still was proud of myself with finally getting to overcome each obstacle and master the movement.

The thing with Yooka-Laylee. People signed up for it, yes. But I strongly suspect they were viewing the past through rose-colored glasses. A lot of our old favorites just aren't as fun as they used to be. Or maybe as we thought they were.

Glad so many 3D platformers are coming out in 2025. A good variety and different styles.
I loved Stray as a cute calming little journey to just enjoy on face value. Didn't get the critique over gameplay or story. It did exactly what it set out to do. Complaining that a cat did cat things is like complaining Sim City didn't have a war button.
The biggest thing I miss to one day find is what the old games could on PS1 and 2. Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Rayman 2, Sly Cooper and especially Psychonauts 2. They had voice acting and more involved characters.
It wasn't just "Hey, my back really hurts, can you collect 3 herbs?" but it was actual interactions, back and forth. Psychonauts had all of the kids have their own stories and moments. It was more than a plot progression but an immersion.

Psychonauts 2 continued with interactions and the wonderful cinematic feel but failed with the side stories. But the spirit and enjoyment of everyone working off each other was there and as lively as ever.
Ratchet & Clank has had amazing videos showing and explaining why the first game's dialogue and cutscenes worked while the remake misunderstood it. From subtle to big differences.
I hope for more games to care as much about the characters and plot as they do with the game itself.
