This video consists of archival colour photos of Vancouver in 1979, the year of my birth. The final image before the video reverts back to the intro image of the Vancouver skyline is inside what is known today as Waterfront Station, where the skytrain lines, West Coast Express and Seabus converge. It is a very busy transit hub today but in 1979 the place looked almost empty. The explosive growth in population and transformation of Vancouver during my lifetime have been extreme as it went from being a backwater town to a major global city within less than 40 years.
