Design works well, you just have to wait every once and a while for all items to come through. Coal works best to fuel the blast furnaces, but ultimately this sorter would be more efficient by getting rid of the swords and armor completely.

i personally replaced the blast furnaces with droppers dropping items into the lava. the rates are very fast and so there arent enough furnaces and time to smelt it all into gold nuggets

if you'd rather build 1 sorter per hopper (recommended due to the high rates) here are the materials (im just gonna multiply each thing by 4 bc its better to be overprepared and i need a ss of this anyways)

I'm going to attempt to save everyone some time and aggravation up front, as others have mentioned, you really want to build four of these sorting modules (one for each of the kill chamber outputs). Funneling all four item streams into one sorting module simply isn't going to cut it and is very likely to break after extended usage. You're also likely to have better luck just pulling out the rotten flesh and swords/armor and destroying them with lava unless you really want them. It is possible to stay ahead of smelting down the swords/armor with a sufficiently sized furnace array, but with the gold rates of this farm it's really not worth the hassle unless you also have that furnace array hooked up to some sort of automatic fuel generator.

What worked for me was switching the order and as others have said, just don't even bother with smelting the swords unless you want to make a big array for it.

The order I used was two non-stackable sorters (for swords), then the three main item sorters, and at the end of the line is overflow for chicken drops and anything else that got through.

For the flesh, you can drop them down into shulker loaders if you've got a good supply of shulkers

Just so everybody knows, the sorting mechanism his video uses can easily break if one of the hoppers is full (the one with the item you want to sort + the 5 seeds in the video), there is another sorting system you can use that avoids that, not quite sure why they went with this design instead

This works great if you build two of them. I built and then slightly modified two of these modules and it easily keeps up with the farm. The modification I made was that instead of the blast furnaces for the gold swords I simply fed them into a dropper facing lava hooked up to to a Redstone clock. It's really not worth spending all that coal or whatever fuel you use. I haven't done it yet, but I'm probably gonna do the same with the rotten flesh as the chests full in just a couple of hours afk.

Tip for the part of the blast furnace put a dropper and lava and get two observers facing away from eachother next to the dropper so it burns all the swords so it doesn’t jam up the system

Thank you! It works pretty well. I swapped out the blast furnaces with a lava- item dropper. (For those wondering, I use the Kmond Item dropper system with just one dropper & observer and placed lava in front)

At 6:45 when you put 1 rotten flesh, 1 ingot and 1 nugget into the hoppers, they seem to stay in the hoppers?

For some reason when i put the items into the hoppers they just go down into the chest, how do I fix this?
