Celebrating 25 years of Landscape Architecture

A 2 day event has been organized by Landscape Architecture Program to mark its 25th year, on 24th and 25th February, 2018.
The event itinerary is as follows:
on 24th February 2018 - Talks by academicians, professionals, industry experts of both national and international prominence.
on 25th February 2018 - Alumni presentations and interactions.

The event was includes the exhibitions by alumni and students. Alumni exhibitions display the professional work of alumni and showcase various fields of professional engagement whereas Student exhibitions showcase the diversity of projects that students get exposed to during their academic term.

The Master’s Program in Landscape at CEPT University is celebrating its 25th year. It was started by Prof. Prabhakar B Bhagwat in 1993. 23 batches have graduated. Till date we have 307 graduates, spread across India and some are settled abroad.
Graduates of this program have demonstrated new thinking, coupled with measured and relevant responses to varying landscape situations. Many of them are running their own practices. Some are presently working for leading landscape architecture and design firms in India and abroad. A section of the graduates also choose to join large development / real estate firms while others pursue teaching and research as a career path. Overall, there are vast opportunities for developing a successful career of one’s choice after graduating from these programs.

The session started with a welcome note by Prof. Deepa Maheshwari. She was welcomed on stage with a huge round of applause from the audience. In her welcome note she mentioned In a welcome note by Prof .Deepa Maheshwari she mentioned . “ 25 years ago when the program commenced, I joined as a visiting faculty, I had honestly never envisioned this day. But here we are and I can proudly say it’s been nothing short of an incredible journey. I have witnessed this program grow like a tree, setting new benchmarks both academically and professionally by our alumni some of whom are present here today with us.”
This was followed by a formal welcome speech by the dean FA, Prof. Surya Kakani . In the inaugural address given by President Dr. Bimal Patel , he shared the milestones of the programme and wished the best for a prolific future.
