A teacher at our school does a "book flood" every year before Christmas break. She brings several totes of books in, makes hot chocolate, turns on soft Christmas music and her students read all afternoon to the soft light of her Christmas tree. The students in turn bring pillows and blankets to get comfy. It is so cozy and the students look forward to it every year.

I’ve noticed that red is trending this year. I see a throwback to traditional red ribbons and ornaments on Christmas trees. It really is beautiful and nostalgic

I would put Christmas Kisses in an assortment of colors in the Santa candy dish.

Mine is the Christmas star. The reason why I’m drawn to the store is the star of Bethlehem when Jesus was born Christmas is the day that God is born his birthday.🌠

Love getting out my "Holiday Tartan' china and it's on the table from now thru mid or even end of January! Deciding to get out the sterling silver place setting to put to good use too, no need to be stored away, , , getting it all out to enjoy!!

I absolutely love your wooden alpine village! It has such a natural feel. The Nepalese socks go really well with that vibe.

The tree is my shape. I make sugar cookies in that shape every year for my grandkids, following the tradition of my late mother-in- law. I also gravitate to the trees in homes I’m visiting, as I love to see other folk’s treasured ornaments. 🎄🇨🇦🎄

We had the house painted this year. I was overwhelmed with how much we had acquired in 25 years in this house, including with our parents dying. I donated all but one wreath with a cherub. I kept only one. I garden and sew and have so much art! Once I made 9 stockings from 3 male Christmas sweaters. I have been donating many things. Bob and I have our original stockings from 1989. We bought them at Target. I learned how to stitch our names on the cuff. We don’t have pets anymore. We don’t have children. We were with my sister’s children when I gave them so many of the 9 stockings I made that looked like your stockings from Nepal!

This year is less is more, I just don’t have it in me to do the Santa or snowman displays. I still have three, three foot trees and the big sunroom tree but only a sprinkling of Santa’s. My 35+ salt glazed Santa are up over the family room windows year round. Perhaps as I see creators decorations I’ll do more, it is too be determined! Merry Christmas to you and Stuart. Linda, PA.

Hallmark Ornaments. Collected them since I was in college. Now in my mid-60s, my tree is a Hallmark ornament showcase. ❤❤❤❤

My favorite motif is the angel. We always had an angel on our tree growing up and now I find I am just naturally drawn to them.

I feel drawn to Christmas trees of all varieties - metal, wooden, paper, faux evergreen, ceramic, paper, and any others I may see. I place them all over the living areas. It gives a sense of unity even if my other decorations seem random.

I'm really drawn to Wreaths and Christmas trees. Especially cedar. I bought and planted a Carolina Sapphire for my zone 6b and I'm looking forward to using the greens for porch pots.

Linda, I'm especially loving your Christmas videos this year. Typically, in years past, I saw decorating my home for Christmas as more of a "chore" than a joy. That's not how I want it to be! But, with all the hustle & bustle there is a tension between how to get it all done, but yet still finding joy in it all. Slowing down is key! Letting go of perfection is truly life giving! So, thank you for your attitude this year that you're instilling in your videos. You are a source of encouragement & inspiration to many of my days! Happy decorating!! Somebody special has a birthday coming up in a few days! I wonder, oh how I wonder who that could be??

The tree is the most pleasing to me because it contains memories, magic and possibilities. It is a large canvas for creativity. I am more creative with the tree than any of the other shapes, the star, the stocking or the wreath.
