Posidonia or Delagratsia village is located southwest of the island approximately 15 km from Ermoupoli. Her first name comes from the ancient Posidonia which allegedly was there, while the second name comes from the small Catholic church Marie Dellis Gratseas (Our Lady of Grace). It is one of the most beautiful villages of Syros.

Crossing the center of the village will find many neoclassical mansions with beautiful gardens and towering owned towers. The most famous of these buildings is the villa Tsiropina, which is classified as a historical monument and landmark. Within 2 km lies the Parakopi, settlement strongly retains the neoclassical character of the area.

Posidonia is a popular destination Syros offers you a wide range of hotels, rooms and apartments. Many of them are coastal and others are in the village.

On the way to the sea you will first come across the small beach of Fetouri. Moving on, at a distance of about 200 meters, you will find Agathopes. This beach is one of the busiest beaches of Syros. Perfect for all ages, with sand and some trees for shade. It is an organized beach volleyball court, sunbeds, umbrellas, showers and changing rooms as well as space to park.

Next beach within walking distance (700 meters), is the comet. Smaller in size with blue waters. In this beach you will find beach bar, and wind surf school for the more adventurous.

Posidonia connected daily with Ermoupolis flying from the local Bus Station. There are also car rental companies and scooters. You can visit this impressive village with your own vehicle.
