I have to admit that I am not a poet, why do I say that? I write poetry for my own pleasure and recipt it at the Wynum poetry club, s meeting once a month. At the ripe old age of 92 years I have to read my poetry because I cannot remember, very little stay's in this old nogin of mine. So I marvel at these young folk who can recipt what stay's in their mind's. Hell's bell's I cannot remember when my birthday is due. This is when my prompter comes in handy i.e She who must be obeyed.
Just had to smile then a thought came to mind that I would really enjoy hearing one of your members reciept a poem of mine entitled 'Our Arry' .It goes something like this 'Our Arry worked int knackers yard, an every mornin' ee took wiv im two pieces oh bread an' lard. Ee spreads the bread wiv lard fust, then spreads on a dollop oh Daddies Sauce, not just in the middle but right up to the are six verses all spoken in the Birmingham tounge.
Sorry for rattling on so but thoughtt I would get a word in. Love listening to the program.

Regards
The Old Codger
