Sums and Direct Sums of Subspaces

In this video, I define the Sum of two subspaces of a vector space. I then show that the sum of two subspaces is itself a subspace. I then show how to determine if a vector space is a Direct Sum of two subspaces. I go over several examples in which I do this.
