"..I'm consider myself more of a blues-rock player than a jazz player.."

Still knows more about harmony and how to play over changes than many self-proclaimed "jazz fusion" guitarist nowadays

In a world of sound a likes and pre conceived expectations from the mass of guitar players in the sonic universe....this man is a gem. One of a kind. For those of you that think that SH has to have the whammy player as a form of co dependence, you don't really know who this guy is. Listen to his early stuff with Tribal Tech...one of the best fusion players ever....this guy is ahead of the curve. He has his own identifiable sound and style....beyond rare.

I love this guy ... Tribal tech is so complex yet straightforward
This is pure comedy
Scott really likes playing, not just writing mind bending compositions

Bought this masterclass years ago and I still watching and playing along with it a couple of times a year. It is literally the best bang for the buck ever on playing outside the blues lessons! Scott's humor in here is also hilarious, love this guy!

I'll need to rewind this at least 64 more times. Yes. It's worth it.

As usual with Scott, it's a masterclass in phrasing. Dear lord, I wish I had a fraction of his phrasing ability.

Ok, I'm 20 minutes in and this has to be one of the best video's I've seen on YouTube. The Joe Pass story is amazing! Thanks for doing this interview Josh, I really feel like I can relate to both of you. Some great questions and answers and advice.

Scott has his own way with that vibrato that NOBODY ELSE does. I've never heard anything like the Scott Henderson tone before, and neither has anybody else. You might think you have, but you haven't.

Love the tone setup Scott Has.. Got it dialed in on my Zoom G1on. The best pedal I know of today, because it's the only pedal where you can actually place your pedals in the order you want them in. Made it easy to get his tone. And Scott? Geezz!! I don't care what anyone says. He is the most flavorful, tasty, and ultra well versed guitarist on the planet. Yes, there are those that are faster. But there are NONE with Scotts, Grits, Greens, RIbs and Dirty RIce type of expression! - MaxS
