1:01 - Ways to invest SRS money
There are lots of different ways to invest your SRS money. But some of them are not optimum to invest in.
Past datas show that average bear market lasts for 9.6 months. And when you are investing through SRS, you have a long investment horizon, so it’s alright to invest in slightly higher risk investments like stocks and ETFs.
2:56 - Singapore stocks
You can’t use low cost brokers to buy Singapore stocks because they don’t support SRS. Instead, you can only use the rest like DBS Vickers etc, but they cost SGD25 per trade. The cheapest would be FSMOne at SGD8.80.
4:55 - SGX listed ETFs
My personal favorite is the S&P500 ETF
6:31 - RoboAdvisors
Only Endowus, MoneyOwl, StashAway support SRS. The easiest way is to choose their pre-made portfolios and you are done. Even though you can invest in dividend portfolios, it’s not ideal because you don’t have access to the money.
Endowus Fund Smart lets you pick and choose which funds to invest in. My personal favorite is Lion Global’s Infinity US 500 Stock Index Fund, Dimensional’s Global Core Equity Fund, and BlackRock’s BGF World Technology Fund.
