I've learned to put the bag of material on a table or the like. Most often the tailgate of my truck. With the bucket on the ground. Makes things much easier when you're working alone. I used to have a Black and Decker work table that I'd use for such things but it broke. I think it cost around $20 when I got it.

i love spreading structo-Lite. Its just a premix of gypsum, washed plaster sand, pearlite and lime.

I put structolite over my interior lath walls. What can I use as a top coat over it?

Informative video thanks. May I suggest that, having worked with the material, you pass on some general info about it, Such as working time, maybe recommend an amount to mix? 2 gallons? 5 gallons? Just a suggestion, great vid & thanks again.

Man, structolite is soooo different from joint compound or plaster! Ahhhh!! How long does it take structolite to dry? It should dry to a light, light grey right? I got it to stick to my mesh, have a great scratch coat up, but it's not dry... 😫 I really don't want to throw up drywall... Also, thanks, Jason!!!

Did you do the water first because it was Structo-lite? I've watched your dads mixing video and he added the water after filling the bucket with dry ingredients

Would you still have to primer wood lath when using this product ?  Or does the product already contain the proper polymers?
I have a ceiling repair job coming up, and was going to be using this material. Not brand, , , I think "GoldBond" is the product available, around here.
