'LASCAUX' 'Its 26,000 year old cave Art'

Lascaux is the name given to a number of caves in southwestern France famous for their cave paintings. The original caves are located near the village of Montignac, in the Dordogne département. They contain some of the most well-known Upper Paleolithic art. These paintings are estimated to be 26,000 years old. They primarily consist of realistic images of large animals.

Superb compilation of images. The prelude to the art work showing the terrain was beautiful too in autumn colours. How amazing that our ancestors made this art at Lascaux, in in other places. Seeing this video is transcendent: what a privilege to be alive.

The paintings in the Lascaux cave may NOT be prehistoric! One painting in particular has been copied from the dendera star map. The bull, the man, the bird on a pole and a rhinoceros.
The constellation Monoceros (the unicorn) was also interpreted as the RHINOCEROS. So, why am I saying this painting cannot be prehistoric? Because the constellation of the unicorn was never established until the 17th century! When the cave was found in the 1940's there was already a "tunnel" leading to the cave.

It is so hard to see the entire image clearly...I know it is prehistoric but I need a better view. This video however was nice to watch.

Love how some of the artists were better than others....I’ve read some recent articles that are saying that it’s possible some of the earliest paintings may have been done by Neanderthals, and that there were women among the artists.

This cave is of the great Flood of Noah’s day and found in the days Jesus said will be like Noah’s day. The hands scene is people who did not catch the boat.
We are on a countdown to the next day.
