Building The Grinch's Christmas Light Cannon

One of my favourite Christmas movies is Jim Carrey's How the Grinch Stole Christmas released in 2000. So in this video and paying tribute to a great movie and building the Chirstmas light gun Martha May uses to decorate her house with lights. I reveal how the used filming tricks to achieve the look and then narrate a DIY step-by-step video of building the cannon myself.

the way I freaked out for a second when you said "when I was five, the Grinch released" and I was thinking of the animated one. Then the clip played and I was like, oh, a year older than me. Yeah, that makes much more sense.

I was gifted this movie on VHS one christmas and was obsessed, I absolutely love this!!

Never lose that fun imagination! That’s what keeps everyone young. When people tell you you need to grow up, absolutely refuse! It’s funny because that was my favorite part in the movie! Careful welding on galvanized though! It releases lead-oxide when you weld if you don’t strip enough of the coating off. Keep up the great work though! 😁

Well done, Drew! Your comment about being 5 years old when the Jim Carrey Grinch movie came out hit kinda hard though... I just realized that I was 4 years old when the OG animated version came out, and it is still a must-watch at Christmas to this day.
