I had contemplated doing my gen 1 centipede and my marvel superheroes marquees. I went so far to have the diyretro marquees sent to my house but in the end I’m sure it would’ve worked but I was not a fan of the materials they used for the price they were asking so I sent them back. Great tutorial video and glad your happy. Here is a pointer I used clear box tape strips on the control panels where your hand rests on some of my gen 1 to avoid that paint wear. Works like a charm. Gives it a gloss finish and no issues since.

The light up marquees really help fix up the gen1 cabinets. I've put in the $45 marquees from Arcade Game Factory on my Asteroids, Atari 12-in-1, Galaga and my Rampage-turned-Defender. Shane at DIYRetroArcade is always a helpful, great guy. My Galaga wouldn't go right very well after I got it so I upgraded the joystick to a Sanwa from them. They make it a super easy swap-out.

And yeah, I'm sorry but these cabs look really funny and stubby without a riser!

You need to take a black sharpie to that cabinet...lol You can buy paint pens now. My wife bought a set of them. It comes with 24 different paint pens in it.

Noticed on your Pac-Man cab that the kick plate is black. Is it this way if you flip it around from the yellow and faux coin-door label?
