Triangle Strategy at #1 is a huge but welcome surprise. You love to see it! Also nice to see Chain Echoes had time to get votes despite being release right before the poll.

Triangle Strategy on top was a surprise, even with a comfortable lead. 😮The top 3 are all definitely RPG’s but are still so wildly different from another that a comparison is hard to make. It was a good year for gaming. :)

I loved triangle strategy. I got a bad ending, I don't know if I'll have the strength to replay to the Golden Route.. What I like is that you keep experience when you lose, so you don't lose your time. Some battles were really hard, and I needed to think a bit differently

Great to see Triangle Strategy because it's one of the few modern games I've beaten (albeit only once, will return for more routes later) but disappointing to not see Tactics Ogre Reborn which is practically the grandfather of TS remade for the modern gamer

It's nice to see Trails from Zero, Live-A-Live, Triangle Strategy, Elden Ring, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 getting appreciation, I thoroughly enjoyed playing all of those this year. Chained Echoes and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion look great and I hope I get to play them in the near future. It's interesting to hear the opinions of others, you might find you admire a game in a similar way, in a different way, or you might disagree about the quality of a game entirely. It's also interesting that Live-A-Live is on this list when it was also on David's worst of the year list. Kudos to David for representing the voted opinions of viewers even though he disagrees regarding the quality of the game. Our subjective experience with a game can be very different, as is the case where I think Soul Hackers 2 was the single greatest game released this year and the popular opinion is to fling poo at it. One person's trash is another person's treasure as the saying goes. Maybe I'm just the king of the garbage dump. 😆

Star ocean the divine force is amazing after just completing the 2nd playthrough I can say I'm looking forward to replaying it on my ps5 when it arrives

Really loved livealive, Elden Ring, and Tactics Ogre. Still need to get to Star Ocean, DQ Treasures, and Chained Echoes. Can't believe the amazing year of rpgs we had.

So my favorite games this year are
1-god of war
I find these games so much fun. There are Very few western games I enjoy.
2- Elden Ring
It’s not as earth shattering as everyone says it is but it’s fun
3- triangle strategy
I had to get past all the talking before I liked it. Solid game for sure

I finished Divine Force yesterday on NYE. While I really enjoyed the exploration, large maps, and gameplay, I'm divided on the narrative. I liked it at first with the dual protagonists coming together to combat a sinister threat. However, the story gets overly complicated and really does your head in the later stages of the game. I mean, this is common in JRPGs. Tales of Arise had the same issue. I finished it as Laeticia. I don't think I will play as Raymond. I just want to move on to something else. A lot of people must really like Triangle Strategy for it to top Elden Ring and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Happy 2023 to you, David!

I appreciate the fan inclusiveness of this ranking video. Lots to like in this video. Im kinda happy the Poke games were where they are in this list. As someone who thinks the world of Trails From Zero, its my current no.1
