Climbing a Volcano in The Canaries - Cycling in La Gomera

Q: What's La Gomera like for cycling?
A: Hilly!

I took an unplanned trip to La Gomera over new year with the family and couldn't resist bringing a bike for some long, warm climbs in the sunshine (and a long, cold descent in the rain).

Being a volcano, all roads are up or down in the crazily beautiful island so it's spot on if you want to up your climbing game. I'm not a natural climber, it's something I've worked at over the years and these days I seek out climbs rather than avoid them.

Nice scenery and a lot of climbing! I also seek out climbs nowadays. They help me get stronger so much better than just riding flat routes.

Loved the vid. I`m in gran Canaria riding with Free Motion bikes end Jan begin Feb, but on a heavy MTB so crawling up the hills!
