BABY SIGN LANGUAGE - How to teach & why you should teach your baby TODAY!!

In this video, I share 5 basic baby sign languages you can teach your baby and explain why you should teach them and how to do it. These signs will make communication so much easier and fun.

1. milk
2. food
3. water
4. more
5. all done

During infancy, there's a gap period where babies start to communicate intentionally but can't speak clearly yet. And using baby sign language makes this time a lot less stressful because babies can tell you what they need without crying. Imagine your baby signing “milk” or “more” instead of just getting upset. It’s a game-changer for both of you!

I just found your channel 2 days ago, and I cannot express how impressed my husband and I am with the Montessori method and now baby sign language! We're expecting our little potato to pop in November, and I'm so thankful I found your channel at this time, so I can study it in advance. <3 Thank you for making all these wonderful guides and vlogs, it's very inspirational!

It's perfect to combine with elimination communication. Our baby hasn't pooped in its diapers since it was 5 months old. Now at 9 months old, it actively uses the sign when it needs to pee and poop.
It makes things SO much easier! :) ♡

We used sign language with our son and it made our lives much easier so I fully support this. I love your videos, I'm happy that I found your channel.

Great video! That’s so cool that he understands to be careful when you tell him there is water in the cup!

Nice!
We chose to use real sign language (like ASL, or our local french one). That way, we had the added benefit of learning about deaf culture, and being inclusive.
It doesn't matter if the signs are 'too hard' for baby. They'll figure out their own version, just as they babble and repeat words in their one way (wawa for water, etc.)

Yes!
Sign language was so helpful for us! Loved this communication tool.
We had fun with it, and baby felt so empowered when we understood his signs. Even as he started talking, he still used some signs for emphasis, or to help communication.

Great video 😊 we do all the signs you mentioned! An important one we use is the sign for poop; it began with us identifying a dirty nappy, then teaching the sign to him. Now, he signs it to us when he dirties his nappy
