Javascript beginner tutorial 3 - finding errors

Hey Quentin I also found Tools---Web Developer---Inspector--choose Console
Works really well on Firefox. Dude I spent Hours on finding my code problems. But it was really great because this let me learn and memorize my code. I honestly am bald but my heart and mind will allow my hair to grow back know that I located this Error Finder. Gee  lucky

Thank you GURU again, i was very much frusted by finding errors in javascript, error console is a very good tool. I read a javascript book of 300 pages but no please it was explained. I think it is the think which should be taught just after teaching document.write function then comments single line and multi line after just after these two error console should be taught.

If you're running google chrome, you can do the same thing by clicking the three horizontal lines at the top right of your browser, "Tools", then "JavaScript Console". It will display the error message, along with the actual line number where error occurred.

They changed the name. It's now "browser console" and looks very different, the keyboard short cut is ctrl+shift+j

I was using "JavaScript" 5th edition by Don Gosselin, but I wouldn't recommend it. If you can find something more modern then go for that.Try looking at "JavaScript & JQuery" by Jon Duckett, it looks promising, but it is also $26.00 on amazon

I was a C++ programmer and had the same problem to find the bug among almost 3000 lines... My book though taught me in 2nd chapter :)
