Hi from the USA, I've got my name in the bucket for one of the 50 Triumph DGR's coming over the pond to here.

Unbelievable price for a 916. Just shows what super low mileage can do to an average Ducati model

Dang. I sold my 1999 996 for a LOT less than that!

Norton might want to unveil some bikes people can buy before signing up dealers.
It's just a smoke and mirrors show so far.

That is because the 916 looks like a motorcycle. Unlike all the new bikes that look like kiddies transformer toys.

Wow, that Ducati 916 sure proves that MV Agusta is amazing at designing and manufacturing motorcycles! The good news is that such amazing bikes can still be bought, you just have to know that MV Agusta (a.k.a. Cagiva) sold the Ducati brand just around the time that auctioned bike was produced, and now you simply have to buy the best bikes under the MV Agusta brand.

MV Agusta just recently made a deal (=essentially was sold) with Pierer, the owner of KTM. No matter what that deal brings out exactly in the end, the most important bit of news which is confirmed is that in many places KTM dealers will soon start distributing MV Agustas. (For sure in much of the USA but in Europe apparently that will be regional and/or case-by-case...at least in the beginning. I expect Pierer to buy majority control soon if they didn't already essentially do that).

Such a sad waste of a gorgeous 916.... it will never see the road again. 😢
