Venice floods: Italy declares state of emergency

Much of the Italian tourist attraction of Venice is under water after "apocalyptic" floods swept through the lagoon city.

I went to Venice in August without flooding but the smell was overwhelming!

Same thing happened last year. Stay strong residents of Venice. A beautiful city I had the opportunity of visiting in 2010.

Well what do u country must get their share, some have volcanic eruptions some get earthquakes, tornados, heavy rains and flooding, horrible hurricanes in the Caribbean and some parts of the us, and they deal with it. Venice this is your portion, deal with it.times are changing

Don't worry tourism will still come but with diving gear on to see the sunken city so it's a win win

I remember floods 30 years ago or more they said they were working on a defense well I'm so sorry to see this but people who run the country should get a move on they have had enough time after 30year
