This trip begins on PA 183 headed north, approximately 6 miles below Pottsville. This trip goes through Cressona and at approximately 4:00 the trip turns onto PA 61 headed southbound. At approximately 5:40 the trip passes the Penn State Schuylkill Campus on the left which is one of approximately 20 Penn State branch campuses located throughout Pennsylvania. The trip then continues southbound on PA 61 and at approximately 21:45 the trip crosses over Interstate 78 and US 22 which run concurrently at that point. Right before crossing over 78 and 22 the Cabela's store (a well known outdoors and recreation equipment chain) is on the right. This trip through the upper portion of the PA Dutch Country goes through an area of light manufacturing and farming. There are quite a few light manufacturing plants in this area providing a steady source of employment in a variety of occupations. This trip was in Schuylkill and Berks Counties.
