Thx 🙏🏾 for watching, if you have questions or if you also own the Roland Verselab MV-1 let me know what you like most about it and how you’ve integrated it into you music production!

The Verselab is all about workflow, it gives you what you need to write and finish your tracks, nothing more and nothing less. I've written and finished more songs in the last 6 months since using the Verselab than I have in the last 6 years!
If you've got beat block or just can't finish your tracks then you need a Verselab.

That MV1 is Sweet and for the price it’s catching my eye pretty heavy, it’s always a plus to have an XLR input with phantom power, Roland really does seem to make some of the best equipment, totally feeling that top down shot as well looking good

Haha 😂 yea bruh this is a dope machine. Not the medicine bottle shaker. 😂 Now you’ve gotta make a beat with that in it. Anyway I digg it Sir. I’m always on the mic lately so it may be something that I can use. Thanks 🙏🏾 for sharing. Great review 💯 👊👊

I am really feeling the layout here that seems to be streamlined and workflow-focused on this attractive all-in-one solution for song production. And it is a major plus to me that it has the tried-and-true MPC style pad layout with switchable pad modes to lay down dope drums and melodics.

Coming loaded with 3000 quality sounds is also a strong selling point to me, especially considering that the MV-1 also allows the user to expand the on-board sound library via live sampling, sample import, and on-the-spot capture as you demonstrated.

Also dug what you did with the vocal track, highlighting that you got bars and pipes. I see you flexing.

Overall... a dope unit from what I can see and def enjoyed your showcase of this gem. Keep bringing us them great product reviews just like this one.

Been some love and hate for this unit... recently it got a long anticipated firmware update which has really improve many of the issues.

It looks brilliant! I already have a small home set up with Logic Pro, Jupiter xm and various other synths. Thing is, what I'm looking for is a device like the Verselab that would allow me to quickly put down some ideas as soon as I get some. You know, the times in the middle of the night when you have a whole tune in your head and you need to put it down. The iPhone recording function just doesn't cut it haha. A good thing too is that the Verselab is a professional recording and production device that can be used in adjacent to your studie set-up. Win win!

I have it and love it for its fast workflow. Few more features like stems export, side-chaining, ZenCore full sound design like in the MC series and the vocoder of the SP404 mk2 would make it a really complete product.

Thanks for this excellent video and your honest opinion.
As a songwriter I find this a really interesting device. The only thing I want to understand is how easy it is to export the tracks as midi. While it’s great you can mix and master everything on the verselab, I may want to move the composition to a DAW so I can use some of my VSTs, other effects and mixing/mastering software. Do you know if it’s possible to export the midi? Or is the midi contents somewhere stored as a standard midi file on the SD card?

The price point looks tempting and I am as much a vocalist as I am into creating music. Definitely up my wheelhouse.

MV-1 has 7 tracks plus a vocal track, and my Polyend tracker has 8 tracks. The 2 together made a powerful ally, and I use the polyend tracker to compose the songs and then record the midi to the MV-1 (from channel 1-7) I make the polyend the clock master and I can record to the MV-1 up to 64 steps. There is a step limitation on the MV-1, however, the MV-1 has 128 polyphony, and I can clear the Polyend tracker tracks to add more to the MV-1 tracks. and also be able to hear the results before I commit to recording. You touch up on the vocal part and what it can do. You can use the 2 line in for your vocal or your instrument audio input. Its a powerful vocal processor, (and guitar effect too) The drawback is that you would be encumber to do live performance with the audio, as you have to set it up beforehand. I do like the option of doing performance mode with selecting the "section" mode, instead of the "song".

Well. To be honest you don't need anysample pack's or loops or other stuff. Why? Because all you need is already there... Except vocals... This unit is packed with thons of sounds Instruments and effects... All the goodies from Roland craft sounds are there from oldies thil newest.
Why I should use a loops where I can create a beter one straight on the unit...
Why I should download a sample where I can create sound on zencore engine and if needed layer with another sound and if needed add one of legendary effects on top...
Why I should use a drum loop when I can cerate non quantities shifted down beats and manipulate swing and effects of each sample... Even more I can record this loop and re sample it and chop it out.. That's crazy...
This unit is hard to operate.. Learning curve is steep...It needs tons of patience but once learned it shines. Finishing entire record on this. Cheers.

I just bought one of these from zzounds myself and i'm still really not sure i like it, most of the stuff I thought i'd be able to do on it, I feel like I have to export and do in my DAW still, I got a SP404mk2 too, I wish they'd just let me slap the zencore sounds on that thing and give it way more voices and i'd probably be good.

I'm still really not exactly sure what i'm looking for, probably closer to an octatrack but affordable rofl
