The Jaggerz smash hit The Rapper peaked at number two on March 21, 1970 right behind Simon and Garfunkel’s biggest hit Bridge Over Troubled Water. The song was written by Donnie Iris who had a top forty hit in early 1981 with Ah, Leah.

Still a cool tune after 45 years; had a new sort of sound in 1970 and still sounds unique today..

Thank you for the HQ sound. This song deserves to be heard with great sound. Great singers, great bass, excellent fuzzy guitar, perfect Hammond B3, really good cowbell.... I hear how it's pop and rock and R&B. SO GOOD

Yea, I’m old. ha! 😁 I recall when “Coffee, Tea, or Me?” became a reference for the so called ‘glamorous’ image of flying and flight attendants aka stewardesses, in the jet age. Times have sure changed ~ for the better and I LOVE & remember this Song…That bass line or fuzz tone guitar? is SO Smokin’ HOT! … 😻
