What a fun tutorial! I was cruising around Youtube and this caught my eye. I started following you in 2020, after breast cancer, chemo and radiation. During a chemo session I was telling another patient about your channel - because he told me he was an artist, so we shared a lot! I told him about a whale on an upcoming tutorial of yours, and he said "have a whale of a time!" to me as I left. It was memorable! I LOVE watercolor, and paint almost every day! I started when I was 76.

Aside from how great all the love for you, your products, and watercolor is, I was also freaking out that @BryceDallaHowardfilms paints AND her backdrop was House of Hackney's Dinosauria wallpaper! It's one of the coolest papers and how fitting that she has the most chic and cheeky nod to Jurassic Park behind her. This video was just perfection and joy, start to finish.

This was a very cool video! I honestly didn't know who Bryce was, so I looked her up and saw she played in Twilight. I think it is so interesting how art and creating art can bring people of completely different lifestyles together on a level playing field. It doesn't matter if you are rich or poor, have tons of art supplies or a little art supplies, if you are taught by masters of art / university or are self taught-art is something that everyone has to work at and put effort, time, and passion into. It was very interesting to get a glimpse into her life, how she got into creating art, and how she feels about art. I just wasn't into Emma fangirling over Bryce. At the end of the day, Bryce is a person just like everyone else. Emma is just as amazing, talented, and beautiful as Bryce.

I'm a little late to the party haha but this is awesome!! I love Bryce in Jurassic world but one of my most favorite movies is Pete's Dragon. I watched it so many time already. I love that movie. But Emma you so deserve this!! As Bryce mentioned your channel is absolutely amazing and so inspirational. I'll admit I wasn't able to stick to any other channel but yours I so gladly watch. Your paintings are absolutely beautiful and even not knowing you personally and only knowing you from youtube videos you yourself are such an amazing person. I love listening to you. Hi Emma! I watched it again! I loved that Bryce feels the same way about watercolor that the rest of us do and that she can relate to stress as the rest of us do. Not that I want her to have stress just that what we see of her never shows her stress! But yes this is where I turned when my world became a different planet when my Mom died and I couldn't speak about it. It was as if I had to put my incredible sorrow on the back burner and continue to go to the office and pump out all those medical claims and just keep going without getting the chance to feel grief as we should be allowed to feel grief. So...I went to Michaels and saw Dr. Ph Martins hydrus watercolors sitting on the bottom shelf and my eyes were drawn to it as if I were Indiana Jones discovering the Holy Grail! I just knew that those watercolors meant something more than just what they seemed! And so I started my watercolor journey. That was February or March of 2015 right after she passed away and I haven't looked back since! I include time not every day but almost every day for watercolor! Even if its only to do what I did then that I called Khaos Kholor. I spray the page, drop the liquid watercolor on the spray pattern the water made, and watch it swirl and coelesce. The pattern it makes after it dries was so cathartic! I never wanted to do anything else. Thank you Emma and Bryce for such a wonderfully wonderful experience in doing this sweet little Chip painting! Now I would like to try this but I really want to get your brushes first. So I will be looking to get those brushes. Do you sell them one at a time or is it only in a set? Ta Ta for now. Lisa

Been just listening and enjoying the conversation.... I do need to paint this cat, if only because I'm scared my cat's finishing touches wont "touch" the scariness I will inevitably create! Oh my, this was so much fun to watch! The timing was perfect because the last few weeks, I've found myself at a frustrated point with my paintings and watercolors. I got to the point where I just thought I just didn't have it. I decided that because I love doing watercolor and the creatively, perhaps I just needed to refresh myself. So, I went onto YouTube, found several of the other tutorials that were mentioned, and then got a refresher on beginning drawing. I watched hours and hours of these videos and took little notes. Then, I ordered some new watercolors and a helpful book and started simple again. I painted a cupcake, then a donut, and I got it! I'm back to having fun and realizing I went through a growth spurt. I started painting with Emma in December 2020. It was a pandemic hobby, I continued and now I jumped a few steps towards picking up refresher skills, and it back to enjoying and understanding again that not all pictures turn out the way we start out thinking they are going to be. I really loved ❤watching this video, and how fun to hear how the both of you went through similar hurdles. Now, I'm going to give Carlyle Kitty try! Happy painting....
