SONY 50MM 1.8 vs ZEISS 55MM 1.8: Lens Review and Comparison on Sony A6000

In this video I will be reviewing / comparing the Sony SEL50F18 50mm f/1.8 OSS lens with the Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 lens on the Sony A6000.

When comparing these two lenses, the color quality and sharpness is better on the Zeiss 55mm. But how much better is this lens really?

DxO Mark scored the Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 as slightly better than the Sony SEL50F18 on the Sony A6000. You would expect the lens to be much better, considering it costs about 3-4 times as much as the Sony 50mm lens.

So how about autofocus? Zeiss 55 is built for full frame cameras, so its autofocus performance suffers somewhat on the Sony A6000. In my test shoots, I missed more shots with the Zeiss 55mm than I usually do with the 50mm lens.

If you're on a tight budget, I recommend the Sony 50mm f/1.8. But if you have more disposable income and want to play with the Zeiss lens, that's fine too.

hi good day..i planning to buy sony a6000, but here's the problem if you buy a sony product here in japan it has no english language.. and i reading comments even u buy in the center of japan(TOKYO) and amazon japan, it will not be change in english.. do you have any idea how to resolve it?thanks
