In this video, how to grow Fittonia albevinis I'm discussing care of and the nature of this awesome and fun houseplant. This houseplant is considered to be safe and non-toxic so it is a good houseplant to have in homes with children and pets. The fittonias also make excellent plants for terrariums! The fittonia albevinis or fittonia argyroneura is also known as the nerve plant.

Good informative video. I just love fittonias! They're such pretty plants - don't need flowers. Thanks for sharing.

HELP!!! My fitonnia isn’t doing so well. I left for a trip and came back seeing it was droopy. Before so, she was thriving! Sprouting new babies all over. This being my first fitonnia, I thought it needed more sun seeing it was drooping. I left it out side in direct sunlight for all but a day and she is FRIED! I understand now she just needed water NOT SUN. I am devastated. I feel like a bad plant mom! What can I do to help her? Do I leave her few crunchy leaves? So I trim them? Anything would help! ):

My fittonia plants were doing good in their nursery pots.
But I repotted them day before yesterday. And they wilted.
No yellowing or curling. Only one tip leaf shrivelled..
So today I repotted them again with a more well draining soil.
Now m just sitting next to them.. hoping against hope they bounce back.
M afraid I might have killed them ☹️

I find it to be one of the easier plants to grow—great for beginners. It's a good plant to pair with other plants that have similar watering needs, because they really show you when they need water. They also don't seem too sensitive to tap water. Thanks for highlighting this plant.

I’m surprised my fittonia likes me. I learned quick it liked to be watered. I like to water my plants. Hey it’s working. Once I forgot to water it. I thought it died but I watered it and bam. It was back to loving me

Mine get leggy, and some leave end up with brown spots. The soil is moist. Not sure what it going on. I may pull it out of the pot to check the roots. Thanks, I would not have thought of doing that.

Every time I buy these guys they're always labeled as "low light" plants. And yet they always end up tilting and stretching towards the light source. I got a new one yesterday, put it in my bedroom against my sunny wall and it's already leaning towards the window. I like it when they're compact but my past ones always end up growing really long and sparse.... let's see how the new one does.

mine is dying right now. its been one month since i bought them. and it looked really healthy. but one day i found them are droopy and i watered them. and i wait for one night. and they wont raise up. and i watered them again. and i think the root is roted. and now i try to save them. i repotting them in clay pot and change the mix. add some perlite on it. but it wont work. so i cut all of the root. and i put them in the water. try to grow their root again the water. and i hope they can growing again.

As SOON as I put mine in soil, it starts to die . I put it in a mason jar of water . And they thrive . Mine are stubborn lol

It should be noted, we don't see these much where I live out west, Mine died and it took 3 months to find another one, Just today I went to toss my old one out and noticed little babys coming up everywhere so if it dose die do to lack of watering just keep taking care of it properly and it will come back.

Currently trying to nurture my dried out fittonia back to health. I went on holiday in December and didn't water it for around a week - got back and it was all dried out! Thankfully with a little patience and regular watering today I noticed the first tiny new leaf coming through. I'm so happy!
