Bike geo is changing again.... or I think it is about too, this is no time to kill the 51mm Offset fork.
WE are seeing DH bikes with Long chainstays and slack head angles, and racers still run up top 56/57mm Offset forks.
Enduro and trail bikes are headed that way.... so keep the 51mm offset, because it offers some advantages when chainstays get long and headangles stay Slack!

Very interesting viewpoint. I’m about to switch two of the forks I own on two of the bikes I have just to see what it feels like. One has a 44 offset and the other one is a 51 offset. People say don’t do it but you’re the only person that said to give it a try mainly because one bike has a much shorter chain stay than the other so I’m gonna give it a go. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Been trying to decide on 41 or 51.
Hearing 51 is more turning of the bars to steer and 41 is more leaning to turn. "Hardtail party' test. But i do have 460 stays, 100mm , going 120 on fork . And runnig 2° works slackset bring it to 66, so considering a 51 now. But not sure.
