every old account that was banned feels like history being lost

It’s weird thinking that this is also an online graveyard for deceased Roblox players with old accounts in real life.

this is truly one of the games of all time

It’s crazy thinking, that your account, could be surrounded by dead people, heck, a criminal if your account is old enough that a person that was once innocent just happily playing roblox has having a fun time in life, has changed.

It’s so depressing to see the first 100 uses who had the most freedom when creating users and experienced the beauty of Classic Roblox throw away that memory by getting banned, abandoning their account or straight up erasing it

Those "banned and erased" account been sure have a lot's of memories on this game.

Fun fact, the amount of players are inf on this game. When you reach the end you will just see a graveyard of people who don’t exist yet waiting to be taken by a new player or alt.

Basically vacant slots that need to be claimed

I joined in 2009 so it was crazy to see all the old abandoned accounts near mine

Fun fact, the reason why the "null zone" exists here is due to something called floating point rounding precision. Basically, a computer stores decimal numbers with better accuracy the closer they are to zero. As they get exponentially larger, the computer loses the ability to differentiate between small intervals.

So because of this, when you go to the far edges of this world, your position value is so high that everything gets rounded in the rendering engine. All your players verts seem to jump and dance around because they're snapping between the closest values of that floating point rounding. This happens in other games too like Mario odyssey for example, and is indicative of how they programmed the engine. It's possible for games to avoid this issue with clever rendering tricks (Minecraft does this), but often it's not worth the hassle.

Hoped you learned something!

it's so painful to see all those accounts with such low ids gone

This just makes me sad, as a person who joined late 2009 seeing people around me all abandoned accounts still wearing the trendy items from those years.

Computer scientist here: the farther you move from origin (xyz coordinates 0) graphics and physics start to freak out because decimal numbers (aka floating point values) start to become very imprecise and calcuate physics and graphics weirdly.

Im not sure why its called the "Null Zone" that just sounds like movie hacker talk

fun fact, most old permanent BC owners are getting banned because roblox is contractually obligated to fulfill lifetime premium and are terminating those accounts under the most minor premises that would usually warrant a warn or short ban

Roblox has its own version of the farlands

It's like seeing the names of the dead soldiers who served the war, but in roblox. This is not just a game, this is also history inside of a game.

I played this, this game made me realize how easily we are forgotten. every old player is either dead or has an adult life. everyone had some memories. i was starting to cry at some point

If this game would be revamped irl, i would still not find my father after searching him

It's weird knowing that most of the oldest Roblox accounts that are not erased are abandoned, but have so much memories...
