Perseverance is powered by is powered by a multi-mission radioisotope thermoelectric generator (MMRTG), a type of radioisotope thermoelectric generator (RTG) developed for NASA space missions. The MMRTG was developed by an industry team of Aerojet Rocketdyne and Teledyne Energy Systems.

Yes, indeed it’s ingenuity of Russian technology! On the Perseverance installed are 2 Russian nuclear high-efficiency reactors. Without them there will be no power to the Perseverance. 40 000 scientists from USA cannot design such reactors due to lack of knowledge.
