Considering the family ties in the band, it's like this - Dejana is married to Vladimir Garvevic, Goran and Vladimir Garvevic are brothers, while Marko and Vladimir Novakovic are also brothers. So, a true family band. And Dejana started singing in Claymorean in 2012 (Claymore, 2014 Claymorean). 😅

Have you guys heard of Sumerlands? Another band Arthur Rizk is involved in, both their albums are wonderful - especially „Dreamkiller“ from 2022. Might also fit in here, although it‘s not 100% Trad Heavy Metal I‘d say.

I got into Eternal Champion with "The Armor of Ire". That led me to their split release with Gatekeeper. Gatekeeper then added Jean-Pierre Abboud as their singer. He's now the singer for Traveler.
It was an amusing anecdote to me anyway...

Cauldron is my favorite band of the 21st century. New Gods is also my favorite album of the 21st century. Bold statements but I love them that much. Incredible sense of melody and riffing. I really, really hope that they are not over because that would really be a bummer. Hope all is well. They are an original and unique band, so they are difficult to describe. I would say that they are a mix of Ghost, Angel Witch, Dokken, Tokyo Blade and Cathedral. Something like that anyways. Awesome band!

Vlad Garčević (nee Invictus) and Goran Garčević were both on the 2003 Claymore release and are both still in Calymorean. Vlad is the brother of Goran Garčević and married to Dejana Garčević, the band's singer.

Of these bands, I love Eternal Champion and Cauldron! Traveler is ok. Saw Eternal Champion live here in PA last year with another great NWOTHM band, Sumerlands, and they sound amazing live. Really wish Cauldron would start touring again and making new music- love all their albums. Really need a new EC album! 🤘

IronFlame is ok but how about Iron Sword from Portugal. Banger band!

So many great concerts coming before year's end .. KK Priest and Accept! Testament, Kreator, Possessed! WASP and Unto Others! King Diamond! Manowar!

Ibwish these episodes were more regular. Love this subject. Eternal Champion was one of the bands of the weekend at BloodstockFfestival UK a few weeks ago.
