Just a casual reminder that sekiro is a rhythm game

I just beat Owl for my first time a few days ago. Constant pressure actually makes him easier than if you let him have the initiative.

Only thing I can suggest to make this fight look even cooler is that when he throws his Long Spark up close, you can step back and then dodge into the explosion without taking damage and start attacking. So from Owl's POV the air in front of him literally explodes into fire and smoke and then there's Sekiro flying through all of it to kill him.

That’s why Isshin kept saying hesitation is defeat. The secret of the game is to play it while tapping r1 and not l1. This is even borne out in the story as wolf goes from trying to serve kuro to actively trying to protect and ultimately fighting to HELP kuro.

There are also the act markers when Sekiro places his hand on the blade for the first two genichiro duels and then finally for way of tomoe/sword Saint.

I am finally starting to learn how to keep fighting putting the pressure on them, it's like a 1, 2, 3 rhythm after you learn the enemies attack pattern and get the Parry down 😊

This is why sekiro is the best it dosent punish aggression but REWARDS it

The learning curve for Sekiro is literally a slight slope than a straight fucking line and somehow you just learn to think and react at light speed out of nowhere
