Durdle Door - a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, England - Drone footage - 4K

Durdle is derived from the Old English thirl, meaning to pierce, bore or drill, which in turn derives from thyrel, meaning hole. Situated in Lulworth - Dorset - The World's Most Famous Rock Arch - is Durdle Door, is one of Dorset’s most photographed and iconic landmarks. It is part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The arch has formed on a concordant coastline where bands of rock run parallel to the shoreline. The rock strata are almost vertical, and the bands of rock are quite narrow. Erosion at the western end of the limestone band has resulted in the arch formation.

Although privately owned by the Lulworth Estate, it is open to the public.

UNESCO teams monitor the condition of both the arch and adjacent beach.

I would say that the Durdle Door arch in Dorset is a giant fossilised tree from the great flood of Noah's days (see; Genesis 6, 7 & 8) that ether naturally eroded into the shape of a giant dragon, .. or was carved into that shape before the great flood happened, you can clearly see all the growth rings of the giant tree on the side of the dragon facing the sea.
The story of a great worldwide flood where only 8 people and their animals survive can be found in many ancient cultures all across the world.
