there's actually a third way to do it,
while full running, flick the right stick on the same ball hand to trigger a running hesi, you can just shoot right out of it. No need to let go of everything, its more beginner friendly IMO.

I was labbing up and i Held R2 and flicked diagonally up twice very quickly like how you would do an aggressive BTB and it gave me a same side speed boost and sprinted 5m diagonally without holding the left stick at any point of the speedboost. Has anyone else tried doing this? It was Darius dribble style idk if that had anything to do with it. Maybe it’s been out there for a while idk I’m just an oldhead man 😂
