We recommend planting winter hanging baskets in September/early October so that the plants have time to establish and grow well in the milder weather - so we're doing just that in our own showcase garden! Find out about new 'Coolwave' trailing pansies in our planting time trial, learn key features of seasonal favourites violas, pansies and cyclamen, plus get inspiration on perennial plants to include in your designs too!

Fabulous ideas! I’m in zone 6a in the US and have millions of hanging baskets all spring, summer and fall - but it didn’t occur to me to plant them up for winter. I do wonder if pansies will survive our winters? Anyway, thanks much! Just subscribed!
