MD Anderson’s Jim Allison, Ph.D., has been named one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2017. Allison has also been awarded the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

Dr. Allison’s immunotherapy research launched a completely new way to treat cancer by training the immune system to attack cancer. This breakthrough, called immune checkpoint blockade, has helped extend patients’ lives and transform cancer research. #endcancer.

I met this man at a premier in austin a week or so ago... watched a documentary a out him and his work. He's an amazing man. He's dedicated more then half his life to the study of t-cells and work on curing cancer. A recent recip9of the Nobel peace prize...he is a true hero. A saint if I may...I true true gentleman who has changed so many people's lives by giving g them their lives back. I was honored to meet him. I shook his hand. I felt like I was shaking the hand of one of god's own disciples. If who ever reads this... please consider watching his documentary . . you wont be sorry
