Just 24 hours later, I went back to downtown Los Angeles where the fire happened close to skid row. I wanted to see the aftermath of the huge fire the day before. I was totally shocked how everything was destroyed. It was worse than I thought. the whole roof collapsed, and other businesses were ruined as well. Devastating.

Michael, you must get a lot of comments from people saying, why do you like this why do you like that? The thing is, you have a fine eye for the things YOU appreciate, find interesting or find artistic. When you point out a lot of things in your videos, I’m like, yes, yes, I like that too, or isn’t that interesting, you happen to have a unique perspective, and that’s what’s wonderful about you.
You point out things many may not see at first, it takes you to do that! I appreciate that, that’s why I continue to watch your videos (plus the humor you throw in). You keep being you…and I hope you don’t mind, I took a screen shot of the fireman with the truck and the palm trees, because you see, you have vision. You’re gifted to be able to make such observations. Take care!

Thank you for returning to show the destruction in day light. Fire has no mercy and will cost thousand to replace the structures and content. Many live are effected economically. This is the third fabric place in LA county to be destroyed by fire this year. Thanks GIV!

You've taken very good footage of what happened. Last night and the morning after. As an LA native, I thank you for appreciating what you see, for better or worse. You have a winning personality and I like you.
Please do be careful though.

I can understand why you take these photos. They capture the atmosphere, the moment in time that one day will no longer be there. It's history in the making. An art firm. Keep taking them for future generations Mike.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that a derelict started a dumpster fire. Although it might have been O'Leary's cow.

You said exactly 24 hours later but I think you meant 12 hours later it was still smoldering THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!

Mike, your creative eyes are different from someone who doesn’t have that. Most people don’t in fact. They can’t see or imagine. So they will see the world differently from you. You see special things among the “junk”. “Diamonds in the dirt”. And that’s great. Don’t listen to those who criticize. They are from a different group of people. Keep creating! Always.
