Solar motor on bathroom counter

Heres my little motor just sitting on the bathroom counter, its been doing this for hours, what a strange device.

@TheKackler I gave it to my mother and father for a birthday, they have a track light set up about five foot from the fireplace mantle, it was running a little faster then on my counter up there. Well, one bulb burnt out and it stopped. My mother went to move it and dropped it and broke a piece of wood off and a ball bearing off the end, she cried for 4 hours, I am currently repairing it lol.
