I just see magick as magick. It's a tool like anything else. You can use a hammer to build a house or bash someone's head in. It doesn't necessarily make the hammer "evil".

What would you consider with making things like servitors or created familiars? I have a story that i think might enlighten some people. So my sons mom is pretty psychic, when i could sense spirits she could see them sometimes, (even when i couldn't feel them) alot of crazy things happened throughout the years that led me to try to make her understand that she had a gift. She was terrified of her "gift" cause she would usually see spirits upon awakening and it scared her. Anyways i could go into so many stories, but back to the point! I was young, probably about 24 and i decided that i was going to use an old spell book that was in my dads old book room, from before he moved there.
It outlined how to create living astral beings, that you can teach or that go on with their own existence.
So i created one! After opening the ritual space i fashioned it from consciousness, to spirit, to spirit body, to having the imprint of red and blue veins and then skin over that. I gave it emotions and thought, with the ability to learn concepts and then breathed life into it. Now i forgot about this and wasn't even sure it had worked or failed or whatever and i forgot about it.
A couple years later me and my sons mom were at our friends house in idaho and were staying there for a few days. She had mentioned to me that she thought our friend had a spirit in her house, she said she could see it under the table crawling around and in different parts of the house, she wasn't sure if it were a dead child or what cause it seemed as though it mimicked the children. Then a couple days later we were sleeping and she frantically woke me up and said, i woke up and that thing was staring at me, it was no child. I saw veins and structure and it was moving back and forth from having skin to going back to a vein structure. After asking her questions about it, i realized .... Ohh shit! I created that!!! So skip forward to years later. I can sense spirits but not see them so i have no way to go off of knowing what it is that i sense around me. I can tell if they are trying to leach fear or energy from me. I have been able to sense spirits since i was a teen and have felt them touch me, shake my bed and all sorts of crazy stuff. Now that the story is out of the way.
I came to realize that this was probably wrong for me to do, that i created something out of ignorance. It learns from whatever it comes into contact with and it could be likened unto a child that has been neglected. What if half of every spirit experience where something was touching me or shaking my bed in the middle of the night was this thing? What if it sees me like a father?!? And it was just trying to get my attention for years. It didn't dawn on me that this was so wrong until i grew up and had children of my own and realize what you have to put into raising them with love and guidance. Damn I just started crying just thinking about it. I have no way of knowing what this thing is going through and it's my fault.

Okay, I just want to say that your lesson is great (as always), but I want to say something about your thanks to your subscribers. You answered to a question "How do we change the world?" with things that seriously spoke to me, and were needed. Recently I was wondering if I can change the behaviour of my dad, because I just want him to be nicer to me. And bam. "You can't force anything on people. Just do what you do". Coincidence? Maybe. Thank you for a clear explanation. I have a water bowl in the bedroom that gathers negative energy. My plan is to empty it every day in the garden. But sometimes I have just empty it in the toilet or sink. Then I have stopp in the drain the day after or the dishwasher has broken. However, I did not notice anything in the garden. I pour it on the ground under a bush. Does the soil absorb the bad energies and purify it? Or what happens with it?
